MANILA, Philippines - “Be thankful for what you have and count your blessings,” Carmina Villaroel says, noting, in the same breath, that Christmas is a time for giving and sharing. The TV host has plenty to be grateful for: her show SiS, a happy family (at least from what we see on those ubiquitous commercials) and a new Debbie Co collab under the label she’s shilling, Ensembles.
Last May, the company and Co collaborated on a collection to huge success, prompting the duo to collaborate once more on a holiday sequel. This series has lots of those hardworking wardrobe staples like pencil skirts, ruffed vests and two-tone dresses with plenty of pretty new details, like shirred hems and pleated skirts.
This season, Carmina is particularly grateful for Co’s violet, ruffed dress. “I like the cut and the color,” she says matter-of-factly.
