Anniversaries in style

All the ladies who trooped to Embassy Superclub wore short dresses made of light material. If there were prints, they were subtle with simple shapes and block colors. Others opted for a little glitter to add sheen to the night.

Fabric, the launch pad of the country’s young designers and Manila’s premier fashion series, recently turned two. The night began with the launching of the new Van Cleef & Arpels luxury fragrance, Féerie.

The highlight of the celebration was a fashion show by 11 designers that showed their appreciation to Fabric by creating one-of-a-kind designs inspired by luxe liquor Bombay Sapphire’s bottle.

Meanwhile, audiophiles trooped to A.Venue Hall recently to party with Nokia and Bigfish to celebrate the music promoter’s 10 years of nonstop music madness. Style denizens came dressed in white and pastel colors. Women wore flowy and sexy dresses with heels, showing just a little bit of sun-kissed skin.

The event featured the performances of Bigfish main man John Boy Lee who played body-bumping remixes of the Nokia tune. The event also put the spotlight on two of the most sought-after icons in the worldwide dance community — Jon O’Bir and Christopher Lawrence.
