Write here, write now

League of writers: Aspiring writers can learn how to find their own writing voice in The Write Way workshop.

MANILA, Philippines - Want to brush up on your writing skills this summer?

Now in its seventh year, The Write Way (TWW) is a summer creative writing workshop for teens. The TWW team brings together aspiring writers from different schools with the aim of developing their writing voice and creative thinking. With a 15-day holistic creative writing program, young people can learn more about the craft by being taught how to write poetry, short stories, and creative non-fiction.

But that’s not all. Participants also get to explore the wonder of words through other forms of art like sound and music, visual arts, photography, and other interesting activities.

Piel Arcilla, a TWW returnee, shares, “I really enjoyed my time in The Write Way because of its unconventional approaches to writing and because it allows me to write pieces I never would have thought of without the help of the workshop.”

The Write Way will be primarily taught by Tintin Ongpin-Montes, a freelance writer and upper school teacher at the Manila Waldorf School. There will also be guest writers to talk about the process of writing.
