Recently, Manila celebrated an evolution of beauty, technology and communication. The triumvirate of Motorola, Shu Uemura and Globe Platinum treated us to a multi-experiential night of artistry. The stage design consisted of double-layer boxes that served as a backdrop to showcase the evolution of the Motorola’s new luxury product with all its fresh, innovative concepts and refined profiles.
It was a visual delight to watch the guests mingle in their “The You That You Want To Be Tomorrow” attire as stated in the invitation. The style inspiration was Shu-Moto-Globe’s vision of a progressive future, celebrated with a live feed showing makeup artistry, and performances by the Manila Symphony Orchestra, DJ Silverfilter and Air Dance Philippines.
The event also marked the first anniversary of Shu Uemura Rouge Unlimited lipsticks, the revelation of Globe Platinum’s refreshed brand look and Motorola’s launch of the iconic generation RAZR2 mobile phone.
Liza Tan
Liza’s style inspiration is a woman who is still very much a child. She accessorized her dress, designed by Jun Escario, with simple gold hoops, a gold bag to complement the busy design of the dress, and nude heels given to her by her mother.
Charmaine Palermo
Charmaine wears a silver halter mini dress with an embellished neckline by Tina Daniac, made especially for the event. She wears simple diamond stud earrings and silver heels to complete the look of a space-age party girl.
Helena Belmonte
Helena wears a dress by Puey Quiñones sans accessories because the back is already very dramatic. The style is ultra-conservative in front and is just tied together in the back with a ribbon.
Mel Cuevas
Mel wears a navy tunic dress by Joey Samson with blue-green patent pumps and dark gray tights. The piece looks deceptively simple, but the details are in the cutouts and sewn-in cords that resemble medieval armor and priestly vestments. Inspired by modern couture, Mel believes that couture doesn’t always have to be over the top. It can be a wearable piece that you can match with other pieces that you own.
Kat Cruz
Kat’s intent was to show the future of fashion and leave a lasting impression, hence a revolutionized LBD. It is a black mini tuxedo dress with satin and silver foil details by a designer from Bangkok.
Tessa Dragon
Tessa wears a black 3.1 Phillip Lim frock with purple stockings and a pair of gold Steven shoes. The purple stockings add a splash of color to the outfit making her style a mix of classic pieces with a few trendy touches.
Tara Tambunting
Tara wears a dress from Maud by Mitzi Quilendrino with silver sequined shoes from Vegas, a white Louis Vuitton Lexington bag and chandelier earrings from Firma. She keeps her back bare and sexy back to show off her tattoo.
Jessica Guevara
Jessica is wearing a dress from Mango for a very feminine and fresh look. Her style is comfortable yet stylish, and to add a soft touch of sophistication, she complements the dress with an Egyptian princess-inspired necklace designed by Tina Pamintuan.
Astrud Crisologo
Astrud’s style inspiration is goddess Artemis, the huntress, seeking new frontiers. The dress is by Patty Eustaquio and her accessories are from Singapore. The chain mail bag is from her grandmother.
