JICA vows more aid to RP

Tequila descendants took over the breathtaking shores of the country’s favorite summer getaway bringing nothing but loads of fun, excitement and adrenaline-pumping vibes with the Cuervo Nation Boracay. The three-day event bonded together tequila aficionados, including gorgeous models, celebrities and 50 delegates from different parts of the globe who joined in fun water sports such as wakeboarding, skimboarding and a “donut clinic” using the Towd (by Tribu) machine. There was also dodgeball, water gun fights and other wacky activities to unleash the competitive streak. Come nighttime, an all-out party gathered up the participants as well as the local tourists of the island. The music was courtesy of Groupo Tribale’s Latin-house-tribal mix and awesome percussion rhythms from DJ Elmer Dado and internationally acclaimed DJ Preach from Team Tiesto. Meanwhile, amazing mixing stunts were on display as the bartending exhibition shook things up side by side with the fire dancers’ performance. All in all, it was one big, national island party to remember.

KAT SY
What’s the official Boracay fashion getup?

A two-piece bikini and very short shorts so you can get a good tan.

SAY ALONZO
What’s the national pastime in Boracay Nation?

Swimming, meeting new people, food trips — especially the isaw — and drinking lots of fruit shakes at Jonah’s.

JACQUELINE VAUCE
What should be the major criteria before issuing an “entry visa” to Boracay?

First, one should know how to party, and one should definitely know how to enjoy life and to appreciate the sunset.

MIKAY CHANG
Which exact spot defines the Boracay feel?

It’s being under the coconut tree while watching the sunset. This is my favorite spot to chill out and, for me, it defines the Boracay vibe.

TRINA CHING
What makes one a citizen of Boracay Nation?

One has to enjoy being on the beach and staying under the sun while drinking Cuervo tequila.

MYLENE DIZON
What do you think is the ultimate Boracay anthem?

The song Bali by Rivermaya would be the best Boracay anthem since it is very romantic, especially at sunset.

ELS VERLINDEN
Which part of Boracay would you like to show to a visitor?

I’d bring a visitor to Summer Place, because of the live band performances. Also, I’d bring him to the other side of the island for kite surfing.

CARLA SOLIMAN
Is 24 hours enough time to spend in Boracay?

Never! There are too many things to do and people to see.

RIA REYES
What’s the most popular expression in Boracay?

“Vive Cuervo!” Because the place is full of zest and the party doesn’t begin without Cuervo.
