Super bods of the Century

With all the excitement on wellness and being fit in this highly advanced day and age, discipline takes a lot more than just going to the gym. Being exposed to the new exercise regimes, sports activities, and TV shopping exercise gadgets may help us, but in the end it is still your eating habits that make the difference. I’m not talking about those fad diets that make you lose 10 pounds in a week, then gain it all back in three days, let’s face it, achieving wellness takes more than just one week of dieting. It doesn’t help that we are surrounded by yummy cooking and that most Filipinos are prone not only to bad eating habits but also excessive drinking and smoking.

Sticking to healthy food that is high in protein such as fish, veggies, fruits and whole wheat products can definitely do miracles. Lucky for us, healthy food doesn’t have to be unpleasant, thanks to Century Tuna and its wide array of Filipino favorites, everyone and anyone can achieve healthy living. Century Tuna does not only taste good, eating it is practically guilt-free and it takes us five steps closer to that healthy diet combined with an active lifestyle.

With Century’s products synonymous to wellness, they have come up with the best way to help and motivate its consumers into the healthy lifestyle. For the first time, Century Tuna held an image model search, "Century Tuna Superbods Beach Fest". They chose one man and one woman who personify what Century Tuna is all about. True to its form, their winners proved that it is not only about physical attributes, but is also about brains and personality. With the help of a panel of renowned judges namely Richard Gomez and Lucy Torres-Gomez, Angel Aquino, Tim Yap, Raya Mananquil, Douglas Quijano, Phoemela Baranda, Alex van Hagen, Ayeth Evangelista and Ariel Comia they were able to choose a couple who really deserves to be the face of Century Tuna.

The two-day super fun event for the supermeat was held at Pier One recently. What started as a nice relaxing event, turned out more than anyone expected as the weekend was packed with a bunch of activities before the main event – from workout sessions with Chinggay Andrada, raffles and games hosted by JM Rodriguez and Bianca Valerio, massage and henna tattoo booths, plus a fire dancing exhibition by Rachel Lobangco.

Out of 55 contestants it was clear that Jon Mullally and Michelle Padua were Century Tuna’s Superbod duo. They won P500,000 each. But the real price is even better as they were given one-year modeling contracts each for Century Tuna that launched several famous models. Century Tuna has had top celebrities to endorse its products such as Sharon Cuneta, Korina Sanchez, Phoemela Baranda, Georgina Wilson, among others.

There is definitely much more to look out for from the supermeat, especially with the launch of new Century Tuna Lite, which is 50 percent less sodium and 50 percent less fat that is oh-so-yummy and the new campaigns with the hottest image models in town.

Let’s take a closer look at Jon Mullally and Michelle Padua, as we find out who they are, how they got into modeling and what they’re looking forward to with all the excitement this year will definitely bring for them…
