This November, famous liquor brand Johnnie Walker gives the hip young party set of Manila seven great reasons to get together. Known for being the classic drink of choice for an older discerning scotch-loving tongue, Johnnie Walker reaches out to the youth by softening its classic rich blend with a tinge of clear cola coming up with a delicious drink any youthful party-goer can enjoy. As Coleen Niguidula of JW says, "The Black 7 drink gives a delightful choice to those who love the taste of Johnnie Walker but cant handle the strength of the drink pure." Admittedly, I am not a strong drinker. In truth, Im not really a drinker at all. But I do know a lot of people who enjoy the occasional drink and those with the taste buds for alcohol swear that Johnnie Walker is the drink to choose. My cousin Mike is never without one on his nights out.
So, in appreciation for its loving reception among the young crowd, Johnnie Walker is throwing seven fantastic parties for the up-and-coming achievers and absolutely fabulous young people who dominate their chosen fields today. Known as the Black 7 party series, Johnnie is throwing a different party for three young ubiquitous hotshots and their friends in seven of the most happening bars in the metro. Not only is it a great reason to get together and have fun but theres also the flowing Black 7 to please the palate while hanging out with friends.
Beginning with Black Market last Friday at Havana in Greenbelt, Johnnie honored retail hotshots Mike Huang of Rustans, Richie Santos of Cinderella, and Richmond Lim of Time Depot and grooved with their friends to hip Cuban beats. The second party, Black Pearl, kicked off in popular watering hole Restaurant 12 where Johnnie celebrated stylish young couples Bianca Valerio and Mikee Carrion, Shaan Bermudez and Vince Hizon, and Angelique Villaraza and Joel Ong. The third installment, Black Book, happens tonight at Nuvo and pays tribute to young writers Philippine STARs Ipe Cruz, Philippine Daily Inquirers Martin Valdes, and FHM head honcho Eric Ramos. Then next Tuesday, Black Beats happens at Temple Bar and features rocking DJs Steve Mills, Mark Naval, and Edge Pamute. Black Tie comes afterwards on November 21 at Fridays favorite destination, Dreambar, and honors Manilas handsome eligible bachelors Dale Villar, Derek Ramsey, and Francis Ricafort. The sixth party, Black Extreme, goes down on November 26 at Absinth and celebrates todays hottest extreme athletes: wakeboarder Paolo Araneta, martial artist and URCC man Alvin Aguilar, and adventure racer and all-around sportsman, my good friend, Gameplans Rovilson Fernandez. And finally Black Toys wraps it up at V Bar with Manilas automobile lovers Peter Limjoco, Jeremy Marquez, and Peter Carlos.
So put on your party shoes and have fun this November. As you wait for the red and green merriment of Christmas to roll around, grab a glass of Black 7 at your favorite bars and party the November nights away with Manilas young hot achievers.
