After starting out in a teen variety show, he has landed himself a spot in ABS-CBN’s prestigious Star Circle Batch 3. He has since appeared in a number of hit movies and TV shows. Being a trendsetter, he is the embodiment of a man who takes care of his appearance but is never self-conscious or too vain. The guy is the epitome of coolness.
As Splash Styling Aids’ endorser, Piolo’s face and well-gelled hair will be seen on billboards in Manila’s major thoroughfares.
"I believe in the product. I’ve been using it since I was in high school," he revealed during the product launch at the 13th Floor of ABS-CBN’s new Eugenio Lopez Jr. Communications Center.
The launch became a showcase for some traffic-stopping hairstyles, including Piolo’s. Models sported funky hair-dos and sashayed in mood lighting. Piolo’s entrance was met with applause as he paraded his cute self in front of media. He explained that the reason why he cut his hair really short was because of a vital scene in the movie Dekada ’70, his upcoming movie with Vilma Santos.
Then came the beauty pageant question: "What is the best thing about being Piolo Pascual?" To this he answered: "Being able to express myself and being appreciated for what I do."
Piolo’s current movie, "9 Mornings" with Donita Rose is a certified blockbuster. It was no wonder that Splash Corporation scrambled to get his services for them. The styling aids include Styling Gel, Setting Lotion and Hair Polish, all water-based products that contain D-Phantenol, a unique nutritive element that conditions your hair as it locks in moisture to prevent dryness.
Special events include a nationwide tour that kicks off this October 19 and coincides with the Masskara Festival in Bacolod.
