Having a bowl with MTV

Bowling has never been so much fun and exciting according to the members of the MTV-Penshoppe Youth Council who recently treated children from the Tahanang Mapagpala Foundation, Inc. to a day of fun at Power Bowl in Power Plant Mall at Rockwell Center.

Youth Council members Uriah Van der Bos, Brad Turvey, Kathleen Hilario, Nicole Schulze, Terrence Koa, Kelly Misa and Danielle Mendoza were bowled over by the foundation’s children ages seven to 17. After hitting the bowling lanes, they all trooped to McDonald’s for lunch, more laughter and bonding.

These children from Caloocan were integrated into the foundation which provides them temporary shelter, basic necessities and psychological and emotional support. Established in 1997, the foundation aims to provide streetchildren with comprehensive package and services to help them become self-reliant and productive citizens.

"It was a day well spent. Being with these kids was really fulfilling," the Youth Council members said.

The MTV-Penshoppe Youth Council is comprised of concerned and responsible youth who regularly engage in socio-civic activities to help the less privileged. They are also active in modeling and in other events staged by MTV and Penshoppe.

The MTV-Penshoppe Youth Council is supported by Cali and i-Academy.
