The Facts:
REAL NAME: Maike Evers
AGE: 21
ZODIAC SIGN: Aries
OCCUPATION: Model and student
VITALS: 32-26-34
HEIGHT: 5’7"
WEIGHT: That’s for me to know!
BEAUTY REGIMEN: Cleanse, tone and moisturize daily. A lot of water and regular exercise. Diet plays an important role, too.
FASHION STYLE: I prefer a hip and funky style, maybe TLC with a bit of Brittany.
On being Maike:
Basking under the sun with a piña colada or jet skiing with the guys?
Tough choice. I’ve always wanted to try jet skiing. How about basking under the sun with a piña colada watching the boys jet ski? Is that an option?
Sun tan or sun block?
Sun block, for sure. Being Australian, we’re very aware of the dangers of the sun, although I do enjoy a light tan when I can.
Thrill seeker or chilled out?
I would have to choose chilled out. I’ll leave the thrill seeking to the more adventurous.
Secretive or outspoken?
Secretive. I keep a lot of things to myself. I truly need to know and trust a person before I’m willing to share.
Sense or sensibility?
Common sense and being streetwise are important. These days, you can’t take everything at face value. You have to learn to read between the lines and recognize hidden agendas.
Hip-hop or rock ’n roll?
Definitely hip-hop! I love my hip-hop and R&B. I could easily dance my night away to this music. I like Nelly, Usher, J.Lo. Bring it on!
Jeans and shirt or dress and stilettos?
I like to be comfortable, so jeans and a top. Of course there are times I really enjoy dressing up. But I rarely wear stilettos.
Cotton or lace?
Cotton. It’s comfortable and practical. Cotton has variety. Lace is very limited. I prefer variety.
Shopaholic or mall hater?
Shopaholic. I don’t shop often, but when I’m in the mood, a shopping spree can be a lot of fun. I’ll then spend the next week mixing and matching my finds for new looks.
Giselle Bundchen or Carmen Kass?
Giselle Bundchen. You can’t help but admire her beauty. She’s a top supermodel. She’s gorgeous and has Leo DiCaprio. What more could a girl want?
On boys:
Bad boy or boy next door?
Bad boys definitely have appeal, but I would probably end up choosing the sweet, boy-next-door type. They tend to be more reliable and less likely to hurt you... I think.
Beach bum or yuppie dude?
A mix of both. Nothing too extreme on either side.
Hairy scary or plucked chicken?
Hairy scary just sounds plain scary! I’ll give James P. Sullivan (of Monsters Inc.) a miss and go for silky smooth.
Bad breath or bad odor?
Bad breath. It’s easier to correct than bad odor. "Here sweetie, have a mint!"
Sweet or sexy?
Can I have a mix of both? Yeah, 60% sweet, 40% sexy.
Younger or older?
Preferably older. In theory they’re more mature and usually know how to treat, or should I say, spoil a girl!
Shy guy or go-getter?
Depends on what they’re getting! I like ambition in life, but when it comes to girls, I would prefer a shy guy.
Star quality or star struck?
Star quality. Having someone constantly star struck would become tiresome. I want a man of quality, though not necessarily in the public eye.
Athletic or music-oriented?
Can I have both? Hmm, that’s tough. Probably athletic. I spend a lot of time in the gym, it would be nice to share that with someone who also likes to be active.
European or Asian?
It doesn’t really make a difference to me. As long as we connect and understand each other, that’s the important thing.
On love:
A sweet kiss on the forehead or a passionate smacker?
All depends on where and when. Each has a right place and time. Passion is great though. Who would turn down a passionate kiss from the right person at the right time, please tell me?
A moonlit walk on the park or a wild-on party night in Ibiza?
Definitely a moonlit walk in the park or on a beach where you can talk about anything and everything, as well as engage in some all-important cuddle time.
Paris or Africa?
I love the sound of both. Two completely different kinds of appeal, which I would love to experience one day.
Intensely in love or sort of like best buds?
Intensely in love. When I’m in love, I’m usually half of a sickeningly sweet couple! Friendship is important as well. I need someone I can rely on when I need to.
Surpriser or surprisee?
Has to be both ways. I love spoiling my man and showing him how I feel, but I want it in return, too. It’s a balance.
Lights on or off?
I have no idea what you’re talking about here.
Conversations over coffee or wine?
Hmm. I enjoy wine, it has a romantic edge. But if we’re in a mall, a Starbucks frappe will suit me just fine. Yum!
Queen of his heart or king of yours?
Definitely queen of his. A girl’s gotta be treated with love and respect! Besides it’s dangerous to have him king of yours alone, makes you more vulnerable and easier to take advantage of.
Long-termer or short-termer?
If I find the right one, I’m willing to give what it takes to maintain a long-term relationship.
Initially shy or all-out?
I would say initially shy. It’s better to spend time getting to know a person than dive in head first, right?
With blinders or open minded?
Open minded. Since I travel so much it’s important to be open to things as different cultures have different perspectives on life and issues. So open-mindedness is necessary to understand the thoughts and actions of another.
Dramatic love or comic relief?
Comic relief. Dramatic love is fun for a while, but can become emotionally taxing. I like to tease and have fun with my man. But too much of anything is a bad thing. I’m not out to date a 24/7 comic, I think that would drive me insane!
Mysterious or revealed?
Revealed. I don’t want any nasty secrets emerging six months down the track. Plus it’s important to be open and honest, especially with the amount of travelling I do.
