MANILA, Philippines - Master of Androgynous Fashion Joey Samson was cited for his unorthodox concepts and impeccable tailoring at the 5th Philippine Fashion Ball held recently at The Peninsula Manila.
As a tribute to the night’s featured designer, all guests were dressed in their best menswear.
Aside from Samson, the Philippine Fashion Ball honored 12 amazing individuals whose efforts continue to revolutionize Philippine fashion and inspire others to express who they are through style.
Industry awardees included the Ayala Malls for Style Origin 2015, Mega magazine for Mega Pinoy Pride Ball 2015, Pam Quiñones for L’Officiel Manila, and Tim Yap as a Game Changer.
Lala Flores was recognized for her outstanding work as a celebrity makeup artist.
For fashion modeling, citations were give to Kelsey Merritt, a recent member of Wilhelmina Models, one of the most prestigious talent management agencies in the world; LA Aguinaldo, who won Asia Star Model and Asia’s Favorite Model at the 2015 Asia Model Festival in South Korea; and Joey Mead-King, model, mentor and judge of Asia’s Next Top Model.
The country’s top fashion designers who received special recognition for their masterful creations were Patrice Ramos-Diaz, Rhett Eala, JC Buendia, and Rajo Laurel.
The 5th Philippine Fashion Ball was made possible with the help of Noel Manapat and Ariel Lozada, Robert Blancaflor and Toni & Guy.
