MANILA, Philippines - As Philippine Airlines celebrates its 74th year and takes its inaugural flight to New York today, two Instagrammers who joined the #FlyPALwithPhilStar contest can start spreading the news that they have just won a Manila-New York-Manila ticket each on economy class for posting the best photograph and caption story explaining why they want to go to New York.They can use their ticket between March 15,2015 and March 15, 2016.

Philippine Airlines conducted this contest from Feb. 1 to Mar. 8, 2015 in partnership with Philippine Star via Instagram and Facebook.Those who wished to join the contest were asked to explain in 100 words or less "Why I want to go to New York," posting a photograph complementing their answer.
Starting today, PAL will fly four times weekly (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday) to New York via Vancouver for a two-hour transit stop. Departure is 11:50 p.m. From New Yoprk to Manila (Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday), departure is 11 a.mn.
@patutet This is a picture I took with my husband in it viewing the heroes of 9/11 at the Empty Sky September 11 Memorial. I want to go to New York because I want to visit my husband who is there for 11 years now. Spring time will be a perfect time for us to make memories and be together again.
