InterCon Manila welcomes Year of the Horse

MANILA, Philippines - InterContinental Manila joins the celebration of the Lunar New Year in welcoming the Year of the Wooden Horse, expected to be a dynamic year full of movement, growth, and positive polarity, making it more memorable as the hotel celebrates its 45th anniversary.

Ushering the series of events for the Lunar New Year, InterContinental Manila joins other premier Makati hotels for the Makati Chinese Food Festival at the New Activity Area, Glorietta 1, from Jan. 30 to Feb. 2.

The InterContinental Manila festival booth is sure to be extravagant with its display of Chinese lanterns and elaborately carved Chinese twin statues.

Guests may sample especially designed Double Happiness Cakes (Mandarin, Chocolate, Peanut Cream, and Red Bean and Ginger flavor), Pineapple Tart, Dark Chocolate and Ginger Macadamia Cream Pralines, and Cookies (Salted Peanut and Chocolate Chip Cookies, and Raisin and Ginger flavor).

On Jan. 31, the hotel will hold auspicious activities as guests are treated to a Chinese dragon and lion dance and traditional dotting of the eye ceremony at the InterContinental lobby from 1 to 3 p.m.

Complete the tradition with a celebratory meal with family and friends and enjoy Café Jeepney’s sumptuous offering of Chinese-inspired buffet spread available for lunch and dinner from Jan. 28 to 31. For only P1,650 ++ net person, guests can enjoy from a wide selection of dishes that includes Chili Crab, BBQ Duck, 2 Szechuan Beef served with Snow Peas and Crisp Garlic, and Red Braised Pork Belly flavored with Soy, Ginger and Chili.
