MANILA, Philippines - Three running enthusiasts recently had the time of their lives when they each won an all-expense paid adventure package to three of the country’s most exciting exploration hot spots. Kyle Labrador, Ricardo Sirot Sr. and Wilson Pelingen visited Cagayan de Oro City, Bohol and Mt. Province, respectively, courtesy of Rexona Men Adventure.
Labrador, who loves going on spontaneous trips, was thrilled to explore what the City of Golden Friendship had to offer. A visit to the Maria Cristina Falls left him awestruck by its natural grandeur.
They also took time to visit the Divine Mercy Shrine. Located on a hill 500 feet above sea level, it offered a spectacular view of the mountains in Lanao.
Of course, Labrador did not miss out on white water rafting before visiting the Mapawa Nature Park, which offered fun opportunities for canyoneering and rappelling.
For Sirot, an engineer, his fun and challenging Bohol adventure began with a trip to the Kamira Caves in Danao, where he went spelunking. He also stopped by the Danao Adventure Park, which made him appreciate nature even more.
To make the most of his adventure, Sirot also braved the waters as he went river trekking and river tubing before capping off his trip via a root climbing activity.
Pelingen felt overwhelmed upon reaching the summit of Mt. Pulag. While the climb proved to be extremely challenging, the cool breeze and breathtaking scenery made it worth all the effort.
Pelingen, who brought along his three friends, went spelunking inside the Sumaguing Cave and enjoyed its icy, cool waters while marveling at its imposing stalactite and stalagmite formations. Of course, no trip to the north would be complete without a stop at the majestic Banaue Rice Terraces, one of the world’s breathtaking wonders.
