Cebu's Maxwell Hotel to lower all room rates in 2011

MANILA, Philippines - Beginning Jan. 17, 2011, the Maxwell Hotel in Cebu City will lower the regular rates of all its rooms.

As new hotels continue to open along N. Escario Street, the Maxwell Hotel will only strengthen its reputation of being the most affordable hotel on the block.

Standard and superior rooms, formerly priced at P2,000 and P2,300, res-pectively, will now cost only P1,750 per night (under the superior room category).

Similarly, the price of deluxe rooms will be lowered from P2,700 to P2,300; triple rooms from P3,000 to P2,700; and suite rooms from P3,500 to P3,000.

These rates are roughly twice as cheap as the offerings of other hotels nearby. Plus, long-staying guests can take advantage of Maxwell’s P36,000 monthly rate and get upgraded to a suite room.

All rates are inclusive of government taxes and free breakfast for all registered guests.

Aside from lowered rates, the Maxwell Hotel will also begin providing extra mattresses next year. The extra charge of P600 per night will be inclusive of bed and breakfast for one person.

Despite the decrease in room rates, the hotel will continue to provide quality services to all its guests. The hotel caters mainly to travelers on a budget, who desire comfortable and clean accommodations that are simple and affordable.

The Maxwell Hotel first opened its doors in August 2008. It has 72 rooms, four function rooms, and one boardroom. Its concessionaires are the Maxim Café and Restaurant, 3e Convenience Store, Agua Spa, and Tropical Sun Travel and Tours.

The hotel is also home to the award-winning Philippine School of Culinary Arts (PSCA).
