MANILA, Philippines - The world’s most famous cat-and-mouse tandem, Tom and Jerry, put the fun in traveling onboard Philippine Airlines’ long-haul flights as mascots of the flag carrier’s Junior Jetsetter kits, PAL and Warner Bros. consumer products jointly announced today.
Junior jetsetters will be thrilled to find the popular Tom and Jerry continues to combine chaos and laughter into irresistibly funny experience bringing more fun and games in the airline’s activity kits throughout 2010.
This year’s Junior Jetsetter kits will sport a slightly different design and set of items. For outbound-Manila flights, kids will receive a 20-page activity/coloring book, crayons in a tube, a magnetic tangram, a sticker sheet and an image search activity sheet — all contained in an attractive grass-green drawstring bag.
The inbound-Manila kit includes a 20-page activity/coloring book, mini colored pencils, a domino set, a magnetic puzzle and adhesive stationery, all encased in a bright sunshine-yellow drawstring bag.
Junior Jetsetter kits are provided to children from two to 11 years old to keep them entertained on PAL flights to North America and Australia. These include services between Manila and San Francisco, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Vancouver, Honolulu, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
The new kits will be progressively introduced on these flights from around mid-March onward.
Tom and Jerry, created by legendary animators William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, first appeared in 1940 and is the most-awarded animated series in history. The cartoons continues to bring lots of laughs to children, daily on the Cartoon Network, and now, on-board Philippine Airlines’ flights to North America and Australia
