MANILA, Philippines - Filipino music aficionados will be happy to know that the 23rd Macau International Music Festival is now in full swing and will end on Nov. 8.

Presented by Macau’s Cultural Affairs Bureau, with the full support of the Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO), the festival has gathered internationally renowned artists to Macau.

On the jazz front, the unique sound of the Harlem Blues and Jazz Band will be heard on Nov. 1, preceded on Oct., 28 by DJ Paul Miller of New York and electro jazz cellist/composer Dana Leong, also of New York.

This year, world music is represented by Venezuela’s Marco Granados and Argentina’s Pablo Zeigler Quintet, on Nov. 1.

On the same day, American songs of the past will be sung by the Hudson Shad Group of Chicago.
