MANILA, Philippines - Popular nightclub Republiq is revving up to present the Philippines’ premier electronic music festival, “United Republiq,†which takes place on Nov. 21 at the Mall of Asia concert grounds.
The music festival is headlined by none other than superstar DJ Axwell of the Swedish House Mafia, the electronic dance music group with massive hits such as Save the World, Leave The World Behind, Miami 2 Ibiza, Antidote, Greyhound and Don’t You Worry Child.
Moving on from Swedish House Mafia, Axwell teamed up with Sebastian Ingrosso and formed The Departures, a group together with other Swedish DJs performing specially for Ibiza’s Ushuaia Hotel. Axwell is also taking the reins at infamous stages across the globe and boasting annual residencies for the most prestigious nightspots around the world.
Joining Axwell on stage is Nicky Romero, a Dutch DJ and house music producer. He has worked with the world’s greatest DJs such as Tiesto, Fedde Le Grand, Sander Van Doorn, David Guetta, Calvin Harris, Armand Van Helden, Avicii and Hardwell.
In 2012, MTV recognized his talent and named him the “EDM Artist to watch out for.†His popularity has risen in recent years, being a staple in all major music festivals around the world, namely Tomorrowland, Ultra Music Festival and Electronic Daisy Carnival, and he has attained a joint residency with David Guetta in Pacha Ibiza.

Additionally, Swedish DJ duo No ID will join the lineup. They have been supporting the Swedish House Mafia shows for years in the EDM scene. Local DJ heavyweights Ace Ramos, Mars Miranda, Martin Pulgar and Marc Naval will cap off the massive lineup as they represent Republiq along with hypeman of the year MC Pao Avila.
United Republiq will provide a world-class music festival experience to the Filipino people who are now truly immersed in the dance music culture.
With an expected audience of over 10,000 strong, United Republiq may just be the nation’s premier annual electronic music festival, kicking off this November.
