MANILA, Philippines - Leading premium Australian winery Wolf Blass has been awarded the house-pour contract for the Shangri-La Group across Asia for the next three years. Showcased in more than 50 hotels across Asia Pacific, a Cabernet Merlot and Unwooded Chardonnay from the White Label range exclusive to Asia were selected. Chief Winemaker Chris Hatcher explains the winemaking philosophy, “The Wolf Blass White Label wines are fruit-driven and easy-drinking with no oak influence. The freshness and natural fruit sweetness make them the perfect complement to a selection of Asian cuisine from steamed Sri-Lankan crab to Vietnamese spring rolls.”
With wine training conducted by Henry Dawson-Damer, Wolf Blass got the international Pouring contract for the Shangri-La Group World Wide. Wolf Blass and Premier Wine and Spirit went to all four Shangri-La hotels in the country to conduct training and orientation (Mactan, Boracay, Edsa, Makati). Wolf Blass white label quality is in between Yellow Label and Gold Label.
The media launch was conducted at Makati Shangri-La Circle to emphasize Wolf Blass’ new world wine acceptability to fusion cuisine, with a dinner buffet courtesy of Premier Wine & Spirits and Treasury Wine Estates. Wolf Blass range (Red Label, Yellow Label, Gold Label, Black Label) is also available at Shangri-La group of hotels. Premier Wine & Spirits is the official distributor of Wolf Blass wines.
