MANILA, Philippines - The city’s hip young crowd arrived en masse last Saturday at the Abreeza Mall activity center to catch the Style Origin fashion show, which featured looks from more than 30 apparel, accessories, and travel brands found in the one-year-old mall. With the sheer number of participating labels, the fashion show presented a variety of looks, from high street style to athletic chic, and even cute threads for tiny clotheshorses in the making.
Style Origin also featured menswear collections from designers Gian Romano, Bang Pineda, and Ronan Opiña, and young actor Rayver Cruz took a turn at the runway with the women in the audience cheering him on. Contributing to the festive mood of the event was the band Never the Strangers who played a live set of original songs including their hit singles “Alive” and “Moving Closer.”
The show is part of Style Origin, under the collaborative efforts of Philippine STAR, Ayala Malls and Tiger 22, sponsored by Visa, Globe and Samsung with participating sponsors TGIFriday’s, Ranchero, Max’s Fried Chicken, Salon de Rose, and Joji Ilagan Career Center Foundation. Inc.
