MANILA, Philippines - Another year, another birthday. Finally, I am 21 years old! It seems time really does fly by so fast. Last Wednesday, was my special day, Dec. 7, the day I was born. I’ve always been blessed with a supportive and loving family. Now, that family has grown to include many special friends who love and support me the same way.
The birthday party thrown for me last night at Lusso in Greenbelt 5 is evidence of how blessed I am to have all these special people around me. Food and drinks were overflowing. However, with the Ramsay family and friends around everything was pretty much wiped out by the time the night was through. Music was great and as expected, everyone was dancing and it felt good to know that I could move around or sit in one place and everyone would still be having a great time. It’s comforting to feel this loved. I know that the bigger my family circle gets the more meaningful my life becomes.
I‘d like to mention that each year two people connive to make me feel extra special. First, there’s Tita Virgie Ramos. If I am Superman she is Wonder Woman. Then, my Angel (Panganiban) — you are what I need, to be me. Thanks for always making me feel loved.
My family, who came full force — my parents, my two sisters Rojinie and Camilla, their husbands, Jose and Simon, and my baby bro D.A., your love and support keep me going.
Unfortunately, my other sister was not able to make it but tons of friends did. Martin, Meli and all the other crazy guys, you know who you are. I am so grateful that you are all part of my life! My artista family, the cast of No Other Woman, Praybeyt Benjamin, Banana Split, etc. — I love you guys.
My life reads like a very interesting, page-turning novel, full of action, drama and suspense. Action, from sports, hence I was dubbed Superman. Drama, from my career, literally. (Laughs) And suspense, from not knowing what else life has in store for me. Whatever it is, bring it on.
I may not be Superman, but we do have one thing in common — we both have Super Friends!
