Slime was the rule in 'Nick Takes Over Your School'

MANILA, Philippines - Students got their Nick on with the biggest slime invasion of the year, when Nickelodeon’s “Nick Takes Over Your School” visited 20 schools and gave students non-stop messy fun, where this year’s cheer was “Sharpen your mind.”

As soon as students recited the “Play Pledge,” they put on their thinking caps and stretched those muscles, as they got ready to rule their school for a day.

Games to challenge the body and sharpen the mind, which were all patterned after Nickelodeon shows, were held. There were fun relays where students played football with the Big Time Rush boys in Big Time Goal; increased Carly’s friends in iAdd More Friends, and became fry cooks like SpongeBob in SpongeBob’s Freezer Dig. Kids also helped find Dora the Explorer’s friends in Dora’s Picnic and freed a tiger in Diego to the Rescue. Nicksters became part of a crazy mission in Fanboy’s Transporter and dribbled their way to solve the puzzle in House of Anubis Mystery Box. They shook their hips to The Penguins of Madagascar’s Hula Hoopla, accessorized in True’s Fashion Fever Knots, and finally, blasted their way in Nickelodeon’s Slime-zooka.

Kids approved: The students love Nickelodeon’s “Nick Takes Over Your School” event.

Prizes were aplenty, but the best part of all was when kids vied for the ultimate prize to step inside “The Sharpener” to get drenched in the glorious goo — Slime! But, the ones on the sidelines weren’t left out. Slime Time! brought the slimy green goodness when participants — teachers and kids alike — answered a Nick trivia question correctly. To end the invasion on a high note, Nicksters were treated to visits from their favorite Nick Toons, namely SpongeBob, Aang and Danny Phantom.

Nickelodeon’s Nick Takes Over Your School was presented by Nestle Milo and Toy Kingdom, and was co-sponsored by Barbie, Ceelin Chewables, Hot Wheels, Jack n’ Jill Pretzels, Jack n’ Jill Roller Coaster, Jack n’ Jill Wiggles, Jollibee Chicken Nugget Crunchers, Lucky M, Purefoods Tender Juicy Hotdog, Push Pop Candy and Speed Stacks.
