Your guide to a perfect life

Sure you want to live a wonderful life. You want a fun, exciting, exhilarating, perfectly paced, totally rewarding and fulfilling life. You want the perfect life. But, of course, everybody knows there is no such a thing as a perfect life. We can only dream of it and can only hope that whatever we’ll have would approximate half our expectations.

In the perfect life, everything works. You have no fears, worries and problems. You can eat all you want and never become overweight. You don’t develop any wrinkles, never get sick, and don’t age. You own a villa by the sea, the latest Jaguar sports coupé, and a platinum credit card. You are so rich that you don’t reside in your own country. And in the perfect life, there are no taxes and annoying mothers-in-law.
Working Towards Your Dream Life
Your life will never be exactly as you want or desire it to be. But you can get close to your own vision of the dream life. Here are some elements that you must incorporate into your everyday existence that will help bring you towards your "perfect life."

Your talents.
Each of us is given some kind of talent or gift that must be recognized, honed and used to express ourselves and to be of service to others. When you share your talents with the world, life becomes more meaningful. You can even earn good money while using your talents.

Learning.
How will you do it if you don’t know how, and how will you know unless you learn? Knowledge is one of the vital ingredients of the perfect life. Be like a thirsty sponge and keep on learning. With knowledge, you will have tremendous power.

Loving.
If you noticed, I didn’t write down "love" but "loving." Loving is love in action. You may have all the love in the world but if not used or given, it will amount to nothing. By doing acts of love, we fulfill life’s most basic need – to love and be loved, to need and be needed.

Passions.
Recognize your passions in life for they will direct you to your destiny. What work would you wholeheartedly do even if you don’t get paid for it? What activity gives you a high and makes you oblivious to the world while performing it? Know your passions and interests, and be passionate about them!

Purpose.
Everybody needs some kind of raison d’etre, a reason for being. Define your purpose or reason and make it your guiding light. When you know the reason you want something, your excitement and motivation to succeed will greatly increase!

Vision.
Have a clear vision of what you want in life so you can pursue it with more intensity and drive. This is what the romantics call the "movie in your mind" that you desire to turn into reality. Once you have your vision, hold it in your mind’s eye and never let it go until you achieve it.

Prosperity.
Aim for prosperity always – prosperity in all the aspects of mind, material and spirit. Aim for success and abundance in knowledge and money. When you are prosperous, it is easier to help others become prosperous, too.

Excellence.
Go for the best always. You must have unshakable positivism, electrifying excitement, and infectious enthusiasm. Develop a high sense of idealism and never settle for the mediocre and ordinary.

Gratitude.
Whatever happens in your life, be thankful and bless it. Realize that there are things beyond your control and you simply have to accept their consequences. Concentrate on the beautiful and wondrous things in life. Realize that you are luckier than other people.

Glad giving.
Life is an eternal process of give and take. You must be a cheerful giver at all times. The more you give, the more you’ll receive. And remember this: what you give must be something that you will miss. If you won’t, then it is not valuable enough to give.

A healthy detachment.
Have a healthy detachment from people, events and things. Don’t be possessed by material objects, memories of the past, and individuals whose clutches could stunt your personal, emotional and spiritual growth. Learn to let go.

Patience.
Learn the virtue of patience. Realize that nature takes its own good time. The seed must be sown and the seasons will have to nurture the little plant before it can grow into a tree, blossom, and bear fruit. Trust the universe but work steadfastly on your dreams to come true.
The Perfect Life
As the great spiritual masters taught, "There are no mistakes in the universe. Life is perfect as it is, even with all its seeming imperfections. The Great Mind knows and has a divine plan." So pardon the paradox when I say that the life you are living right now (no matter how imperfect) is the perfect life for you.

You are the creator of your life. What you have is what you’ve been working at or (if you are experiencing lack, depression or misery) what you have not been working for. You create love or the absence of it, prosperity or poverty, beauty or ugliness, elation or depression, even health or disease in your life. You should not complain because you create your own life. And in the eyes of the universe, that is your own perfect life.
