MANILA, Philippines - Fashion-savvy girls and boys enjoyed an afternoon of sartorial activities at the “So Elle… So Me” fashion event held recently at the Grand Atrium of the SM Mall of Asia.
The event launched the Elle Kids Designers Guild (EKDG), which is in line with the brand’s thrust to foster the artistic potential of Filipino youngsters today. Budding fashion designers were given the chance to showcase their talents by drawing their own clothing designs.
Bag designer and School of Fashion and the Arts (SOFA) director Amina Aranaz-Alunan opened the show with quick tips on styling for children. Utilizing basic staples from Elle, along with key pieces from the brand, Amina talked about how to dress kids appropriately, while staying up-to-date with the season’s trends.
Young models livened up the ramp wearing fashionable outfits from the Elle fall/winter 2011 collection, including the line-up’s highlight — the Little Red Dress.
Guests posed and had their photos taken in front of a life-size Elle magazine cover.
