MANILA, Philippines - This plant will be one of the rare and exotic plants to be exhibited at the Hortikultura Extravaganza flower and garden show under the auspices of the Philippine Horticultural Society Inc. With the theme “Yaman sa Paghahalaman” the 10-day show in cooperation with Quezon City’s 75th anniversary will be held from Jan. 23 to Feb. 2 at the Tropical Garden, Quezon Memorial Circle, Quezon City. Commonly called tassel fern, this blue variety huperzia goebelii said to be native of Malysia, Borneo and Sumatra. The specimen above is almost eight feet long and is freely branching.
There will be a Floral Float Parade patterned after Davao’s Kadayawan and Baguio’s Panagbenga, International Trade Show, Landscape and ornamental plant competition, National Horti Congress, dog and animals show, farm and garden tours, daily seminars and commercial exhibits.
