What does a retired woman of 70 do with her life? That’s a good question, I think. I would like to know, would like to hear from other women my age what they do with their lives. I want to know if I’m normal or not, outstanding or lackadaisical. Let me tell you what I do with my day
I wake up very early and open all the doors in my unit that lead to porches. I stand on the biggest porch and at my neighbors. One has a little pond with koi. I whisper to their fish, Hello! I replay in my head my life before my stroke when I would walk early in the morning, come home and feed and talk to my fish. I had around 45 of them swimming in my pond. I loved them very much and almost sobbed when there was a sudden big thunderstorm and the next day they all floated to the surface, dead.
I see an old man, shirtless with a mop of very white hair, sitting on the terrace of his home staring at the street below. Sometimes he stands in the middle of the street. Cars avoid him. Maybe he is in his nineties, and this is all he does. I feel for him or maybe I feel with him. What will I do if I am alive at his age? Will I just sit and stare?
I brew my cup of coffee for the day, arrange my pills — six capsules of Stem Enhance. Then I bathe and sit down to make jewelry. Some days I spend the day doing that. At around 6 p.m. after dinner I play Free Cell for two hours. I am usually in bed by nine reading and finally asleep around an hour later. That’s an ordinary day, one when I don’t have to go to the supermarket or restock on Stem Enhance.
I enjoy selling Stem Enhance because it helps people. Stem Enhance is a very simple food supplement. It is made from an edible aquatic botanical or algae known as Aphanizomenon Flos-aquae or AFA for short. To type that I had to get a brochure and copy it because I never learned to spell it. You take three capsules every morning before breakfast. It goes to your bone marrow and about an hour later it will release around 3-4 million new stem cells into your blood to be carried around your body. Stem cells are the latest discovery in the human body. They are your own doctors. They replace your dead and broken cells and make you feel better.
I discovered this when drinking Stem Enhance restored my personality after a stroke had taken it away. And I began to take it six years after my stroke. You remember my writing about finding a lump in my breast? An alternative doctor told me to put charcoal powder on it nightly. Well, I got tired of doing that. Also I had been taking 3 capsules of Stem Enhance for four years already. I decided to increase my dosage to 6 capsules every morning.
Guess what? Now the lump is almost gone. I didn’t get a biopsy like the medical doctors wanted me to get. I certainly did not have an operation. I am very well. People have a very hard time understanding this because they are so used to chemical medicines, used to worrying about overdoses and side effects. I keep saying, no, Stem Enhance does not have side effects and don’t worry about overdose either. It is only algae. It is not harmful. Sometimes I know I sound cranky but they are repetitive and insist on their ideas and they don’t like to listen to I have to say.
But I have a case where the mother called and ordered a bottle for her son who had some sort of speech defect. She gave him a bottle then called again to order more because he was speaking a lot more clearly all within a month. That lifted my spirits.
Then I also sit on the board of the Carl Jung Circle Center (CJCC). For all those who went to our recent conference in Club Filipino, we will have another seminar that will bring what you picked up then a little deeper into you. This is Exploring the Self, which will be held at the Ateneo in Rockwell on September 25 & 26 then October 2-3. This is a very enriching seminar, not inexpensive but worth every cent. For more information please call 0917-5123763. You will not regret it.
It looks like I have enough work to keep me busy but I still have no enthusiasm, no spirit. Never mind, I have enough energy to see me through every day. I just hope I don’t live to be as old as my shirtless neighbor. I don’t think I can take just staring into space.
