A fantastic array of gourmet dishes was created by Remi Vercelli, executive sous chef of Tivoli, Mandarin Oriental, Manila’s signature restaurant, to pair with the excellent wines coming from Pio Cesare, a producer of traditional Piemontese wines. The owner and fourth-generation wine mixer Pio Boffa traveled all the way from Alba, Italy to attend the exclusive affair held at the Mandarin Oriental, the most elegant retreat for Makati’s VIPs, thanks to the hotel manager Oliver Kreuzer. The event was graced by none other than Italian ambassador Massimo Roscigno and his lovely Filipina wife Agnes and other special guests including Lucerne managing director Ivan Yao, Jocelyn Kreuzer, STAR columnist Cheryl Tiu, and Louie Ysmael. Stunning and captivating best describe the exquisite jewelry pieces showcased by Hoseki, the country’s leading jewelry design studio. Presented in the exhibit were elegant pieces made from jade, pearl, sapphire, diamond and amazonite that embodied the excellent craftsmanship the company is well-known for. Noted A-listers from the business and society circles were very much impressed by the collection and were graciously welcomed to the event by the creative Hoseki team led by the founder Faico, corporate affairs director Zabeth Co and talented designer Knoi Esmane.
