Summit Media launches 'Elle Decoration'

MANILA, Philippines - Summit Media welcomed Elle Decoration Philippines to its roster of magazine titles with a launch called “Carte Blanche” held at the Metropolitan Museum of Manila on Roxas Boulevard last week, Sept. 27. The leading tastemakers in the country — from design, art, and society — attended the event.

Guests were greeted at the entrance by a multi-level rattan installation by design creatives Epoch and several towering floral installations by Mabolo. Inside the museum, visitors enjoyed a private tour of the Claudio Bravo exhibit in the Tall Galleries and viewed a selection of top furniture and home accessories from Manila FAME. For one night only, special access was granted to the Upper Galleries, Pre-Spanish Gold and Pottery Museum, and the gardens of Fort San Antonio Abad in the BSP Complex.

Media personality Daphne Oseña-Paez was program host. French Ambassador to the Philippines Gilles Garachon and Manila FAME executive director Rosvi Gaetos gave speeches.

Elle Decoration international director Cristina Romero also welcomed the magazine as the 26th edition in the Elle Decoration family. The premier issue was unveiled by the magazine’s editor in chief Becky Kho through a special vignette using various furniture pieces from Manila FAME. Guests were entertained by singer Bea Tantoco and DJ Mike Constantino.
