Save a tree with Tupperware

MANILA, Philippines - In its commitment to help protect the environment, Tupperware Brands once again launches “Click for a Tree,” an online campaign that aims to gather 10,000 clicks for the protection of 1,000 trees in the La Mesa Watershed.

“Click For a Tree” is a Facebook application organized by the country’s premier direct selling company in celebration the UN World Environment Day. This digital campaign aims to build awareness about this global event as well as to showcase Tupperware’s continuous support to the global campaign.

Tupperware is committed to being a strong ally in protecting the environment. It has been active in supporting Bantay Kalikasan, a media-based project that is committed on ensuring an actively protected, adequately rehabilitated and sustainably developed environment.

Bantay Kalikasan has started a reforestation program in 1999 to protect the La Mesa Watershed, which is the source of water for over 12 million people in Metro Manila and is the transit point of water coming from three other watersheds. Through “ Click for a Tree,” Tupperware helps the La Mesa Watershed project fulfill its goal of preserving our water supply, saving the environment and protecting our future.

Tupperware is known for its practical solutions and reusable containers that help protect the environment.

Among the environment-friendly Tupperware products is the Tupperware Eco Bottle, a high-quality beverage container that successfully promotes energy savings, recycling and greater sustainability. It is made with safe, non-toxic materials, so you can reuse it every day and help reduce the use of disposable plastic water bottles.

Another product is the TupperClean Powder Detergent, a safe and eco-friendly laundry compound that uses stain-fighting enzymes. It helps reduce water and household energy bills because it’s specially formulated for cold water washing, and you don’t need to do repeated washing, hand-scrubbing, soaking and rinsing.
