Niccolo captivates Puerto Galera
Attendees of the recently concluded Malasimbo Art Festival 2012 in Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro have been raving about the artistic concept behind the massive 14-foot twig sculpture created by remarkable Studio 10.10 resident artist, furniture designer and sculptor Niccolo Jose. The ingenious masterpiece stood at the center of the island, filling the public with awe and wonder throughout the festivities. Guests were more impressed upon learning that Niccolo made the sculpture on the spot. The artist, with his refreshing ideas and admirable passion for his craft, picked up thousands of local wood and twigs from within the island then started the creative process of bending the branches and combining them together to build this gigantic twig sculpture.
