Free orientation on Waldorf education today

MANILA, Philippines - The Manila Waldorf School (MWS) invites the public to a free public orientation entitled “Waldorf Education: An Education Towards Freedom,” today, March 24, 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Ambassador Alfonso Yuchengo Auditorium, Bantayog ng mga Bayani Center on Quezon Avenue corner Edsa. The event aims to inform the general public about the philosophy and goals of Waldorf Education, which is to “nurture, protect and develop the whole child.” Guest speaker David Simpson, a Waldorf teacher for 30 years in New Zealand, will explain how this is achieved through child-centered learning approaches. Graduates and teachers of the Manila Waldorf School will also be present to give testimonials and answer questions. This event is recommended for parents, educators, college students in education degrees, and individuals who are interested in alternative approaches to education.

For those who are interested in early childhood education, Manila Waldorf School will also conduct an experiential orientation for its kindergarten. It will be held on March 29, 2 p.m., at MWS Timberland Heights Campus.
