MANILA, Philippines - It’s non-stop slime invasion as “Nick Takes Over Your School” continues to visit different schools around Metro Manila. This year’s cheer — “Sharpen your mind!”
The event features Nick-citing activities and hilarious games. As soon as students recite the “Play Pledge,” they put on their thinking caps and stretch those muscles as Nickelodeon gives them a chance to rule their school for a day.
Games to sharpen the mind, which were all patterned after the kids favorite Nickelodeon shows, are held to everyone’s delight. They include fun races where students play football in Big Time Rush’s Big Time Goal, increase Carly’s friends in iAdd More Friends and be SpongeBob’s cooking assistant in SpongeBob Freezer Dig. They also help Dora, the Explorer’s friends join Dora’s Picnic and free a tiger in Diego to the Rescue. There are exciting relays where students are part of Fanboy’s mission to meet up with Chum Chum in Fanboy’s Transporter, bounce their way to solve the puzzle in House of Anubis Mystery Box, shake those hips to Penguins of Madagascar Hula Hoopla, get their design juices flowing in True’s Fashion Knots, and slime their way in Nickelodeon Slime-zooka. These hilarious games leave kids, their teachers and guardians laughing and cheering. Everyone goes home with Nickelodeon gift packs but the ultimate prize, of course, is to step into The Sharpener and get the slime of their life!
One of the most-awaited segments is Slime Time, where students and even their teachers, are showered with the green glorious goo every time they answer a Nick question correctly.
And yes, the fun and excitement reached an all-time high when one of Nickelodeon’s favorite characters dropped by for a visit. On the scene was either SpongeBob SquarePants, Aang or Danny Phantom.
Next up for an awesome school invasion are PAREF-Northfield School, San Beda College Alabang, Escuela de Sophia, Gideon Academy and Statefields School.
Now in its 8th year, this event is aimed at promoting fun, sportsmanship, team spirit and Nick-style physical and mental challenges among grade school students.
