MANILA, Philippines - Alveo Land recently presented the Philippines’ first “Try-athlon” to highlight active living at Venare in Nuvali.
Breaking a sweat in this one-day, try-everything boot camp were Alveo Land’s top clientele and Venare’s future residents who gamely joined in unique sports and activities that included dry surfing, nature biking, aqua aerobics and football workshops, among others. After springing into action, they grabbed the chance to unwind with a rejuvenating body massage by the pool; while kids took part in a virtual boxing match or hit a homerun in a baseball game featured in the day’s exciting Wii sports challenges.
“The Try-athlon is all about exploring the five facets of active living, which Venare’s future residents will experience through its thematic active zones — the Aqua Zone, the E-Zone, the Green Zone, the Go Zone and the Me Zone,” says Robert S. Lao, head of sales and marketing and business development of Alveo Land. “The unique lifestyle found at Venare will include water recreation, multimedia entertainment, nature pursuits, dynamic sports and active rejuvenation.”
Making every activity easy and trouble-free for all guests were boot-camp trainers who talked about the do’s and don’ts of leading an active lifestyle and emphasized all of Venare’s five active zones. Highlighting some of the dynamic activities at the Go Zone, Jaymie Pizarro of www.bullrunner.com gave a few tips to those who hoped to take on running.
Sports enthusiasts, on the other hand, played football with celebrated Filipino-British football player Phil Younghusband who taught the crowd the ins and outs of the game with members of The Younghusband Football Academy.
Guests learned a lot of survival strategies as Survivor Philippines Season One Castaway Jace Flores shared his gripping experience at the wilderness of Ko Tarutao Island in Thailand. It was a unique way to also highlight a few of the awesome adventures amid nature and lush pockets of greens, which Venare’s future residents can explore at the Green Zone.
Triathlon coach Miguel “Ige” Lopez discussed the basics of running, swimming and biking. He also talked about proper breathing, correct body positions, nutrition basics, and outdoor sports must-haves.
Emphasizing the joys of water recreation at the Aqua Zone, guests made a splash to fitness through aqua aerobics together with coach Allena Rius and the national team for aerobics gymnastics from the Gymnastics Association of the Philippines; while Yoga instructors Cara de Ocampo and Bianca Torres demonstrated an invigorating way to relax the body and mind with the power of Om to allow everyone to visualize the refreshing experience that will be found at the Me Zone.
“We are happy that everyone enjoyed all the activities which we had specially prepared for them. This only means that modern families are ready to live a full and active lifestyle,” said Lao. “Our pioneering work with active living in Venare is a mark of our commitment to provide urbanites the adventure-driven, vibrant life they deserve.”
