Kitchen matters

MANILA, Philippines - The home appliance industry is fast growing with the rise of real estate development across the urban areas of Southeast Asia. Electrolux, the thoughtful design innovator, draws on its rich design heritage to provide tomorrow’s homeowners with a range of innovative home appliances.

With living spaces becoming cramped, condo dwellers look for appliances that beautifully meld form and function. At Electrolux, each appliance is a home innovation, inducing emotional, and aspirational connection with consumers.

“Inspired by consumers’ insight, we create products that are relevant and far from the mundane. Today’s kitchen trend is swiftly evolving. Electrolux takes pride in being at the forefront of design as we have over 120 designers located in seven design labs around the world,” says marketing manager Dexter Ngo.

Electrolux’s entire appliance line encompasses five key design philosophies: functionality, aesthetics, sense, usability, and sustainability. Whether it’s for preparing and cooking food, home cleaning or doing the laundry, each appliance ensures ease of use, allowing consumers to enjoy utmost comfort at home. Visual appeal is a key component. Electrolux gives much attention to details for an overall look that exudes sense and style.

An Electrolux appliance is thoughtfully built to be nature-friendly, the process of its production, usage, and disposal has been designed to minimize the negative impact on the environment.

Two internationally acclaimed awarding bodies, the Red dot Design Award and IF Product Design Award, have recognized Electrolux for its innovative appliances.

Red dot cited Electrolux for its built-in dishwasher, Pan European built-in hoods and built-in oven, induction hob, and climate-controlled wine cooler, to name a few.

The IF Product Design Award awarded Electrolux for its home appliance designs; noteworthy items include the island BBQ, cooker hob range, compact built-in products, and built-in dish care.

Despite the recognition and awards received by Electrolux, it does not design for design’s sake. Its ultimate goal is to provide consumers a range of home appliances that cater to their needs and desires. Launched recently is their new communication theme “Electrolux Shares your Passions” — for food and clothes.

“Whether one is a homeowner, a homemaker or a host, every household in Asia should be equipped with the best appliances to whip up the perfect meal, clean your home, and wash clothes,” Ngo adds.
