From Rockwell to its next destination in Greenbelt 5, primo local street wear boutique Greyone Social has certainly made a mark in the industry of scene-on-the-street threads. If there’s one thing that sets Greyone apart from the rest, it’s the store’s don’t-give-a-flying-f*ck approach to fashion.
From skate scenesters to shutterbugs to general garb enthusiasts, anyone who loved Greyone came as one: Jerry Meng, the man behind Greyone , Jon and Rosario Herrera, the siblings that brought the brand to the Philippines, Project Runway host Teresa Herrera, Sarah Meier-Albano, Brent Javier, Sandwich stalwart Mong Alcaraz, ball players Ali Peek, Jimmy Alapag, Rob Reyes and Harvey Carey, and sharp shooters Kai Huang and Tom Epperson.
Covering the event were Jack TV and MTV Philippines with VJ Victor Basa mic-stopping guests. Guests downed their Bacardi cocktails as they flipped through Status magazine and swung to the beats that DJ Ace spun. The store launch was a bang and then some. Word on the street(wear), anyway.
