The Friends of the Cultural Concerns of the Philippines (FCCP) holds its pre-Christmas bazaar today at Hotel Intercontinental, Makati City, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The proceeds of the bazaar will go to the scholarship of poor but talented students in the visual and the performing arts. Other projects supported by the FCCP are the Philippine Research for Developing Instrumental Soloists, (PREDIS), National Annual Music Competition for Young Artists (NAMCYA) and Ballet Philippines, Ballet Manila, UST performing arts and UE visual arts.
In charge of this year’s bazaar are director Mini Valeria and bazaar chairperson Karen Macasaet. Assisting them are committee members Mellie Ablaza, Letty Hahn, Beth Cristobal, Marietta Holmgren, Cita Lesaca, Nonie Basilio, Boysie Villavicencio, Thelma Gana, Cristina Caedo, Charrie Lim, Tessie Rodrigo, Baby de Jesus, Marilyn Altarejos, Lili Adina, Gilda Salonga, Sol Tan Gatue, Baby Ortiz, Teody Buenaflor, Mabel Abaño, Nene Leonor and Nikki Valerio.
To spice up the event, a raffle with valuable prizes will be conducted every hour. Visa and MasterCard credit cards are accepted.
