Regency gets regal

More rooms, better facilities and additional options for dining and leisure are sure to lure many of Boracay’s visitors to come and experience the Regency ambiance. It’s because Boracay Regency Beach Resort and Convention Center chairman and president Henry Chusuey has undertaken expansion programs to improve its facilities and services. Now, more guests can "experience the divine luxury" while staying at the Regency.

First of the new developments is the renovation of Boracay’s first underground beach disco bar called Wave. The new bar, called MO2 Wave and run by the MO2 Management Group of Iloilo, adds an open air area for al fresco dining and partying, a new Alfon’s Bar, additional KTV rooms for videoke fanatics and a coffee shop for enjoying desserts. Major construction is now also being undertaken to give way to the Boracay Regency Garden Wing to be finished in December. The new wing will have an Asian Tropical motif with 90 luxurious units, including 18 suites with direct access to a large swimming pool. Another upcoming project is the Boracay Regency Lagoon, a 120-room structure that will have water as its central theme. All rooms are envisioned by Chusuey to open up to a swimming pool and harness the calming qualities of water. Boracay Regency also announced its new hotline number, 523-1234. See you there soon!
The First Cebu Grand Wine Experience

Guests were also treated to a raffle of premium wine bottles and a trip for two to Boracay.

Johnny’s Wine of the Week
This week, your columnist recommends Luis Felipe Edwards Carmenere Reserva. This deep colored Camenere has a touch of spicy blackberry with some pepper hints, along with oak accents suggestive of vanilla and coffee. On the palate it is soft, full-bodied and concentrated. Serve with smoky, salty deli meats, pasta and sharp cheeses.
