MANILA, Philippines- Christmas is for everyone.

This is what Filinvest City would like to imbibe with their “Magical Christmas” themed decorations, which were unveiled Thursday night, November 28.

Joining them in this Christmas kickoff event are the cast of “Boston Kitchen Musical,” 2012 Miss Earth Tereza Fajksova, and 10 of the candidates of 2013 Miss Earth beauty pageant.

Filinvest Vice President Michael Gotianum says they believe that “Christmas is for everyone and that magic is, in fact, everywhere.”

Fililivest adorned the 244 hectares of land with colorful, bright lights, which were matched with giant Christmas balls and a line of Christmas trees.

Additional treat is the interplay of  lights and music during the “Christmas Musical Light Show”,  which  takes place  from 6 to 8 in the evening, with  a 30-minute interval per show.

But these decorations are not merely decors to give life to the whole place. They also symbolize the hope that never dies in the hearts of every Filipino, especially after the super typhoon Yolanda hit the Visayas region.

“At this time when a lot of families in the super typhoon affected Visayas are still fighting for survival and healing, what better way to see Christmas than the celebration to receive gifts, eat plenty and have fun, but most importantly at the these times to share the wonderful blessings they received to those who need it most,” said Mr. Gultiano.

He also hopes that these lights would “rekindle our faith and illuminate our path, and radiate our positivity throughout the year.”

Aside from the light show, Filinvest still has a number of treats  in store for everyone.

First is the live themed performance after the light show every Friday to Sunday. Every Saturday, people would be treated to a “merry musical”, featuring a repertoire of heart-warming Christmas songs.

But the treat that the kids will surely love is the chance to meet Mr. and Mrs. Claus, which takes place every Sunday.

And of course, the most important thing about the Christmas season is remembering the birth of Jesus. So every night, starting December 15 7 p.m., there will also be a traditional Simbang Gabi.
