Pony declares this year's "Show Off" winners

MANILA, Philippines - Footwear brand Pony on Wednesday night awarded the winners of its second Show Off Digital Film and Art competition.

Minami Iwayama placed first in the digital film category, while Frances Kim De Guzman garnered the top prize in the poster category.

Both Iwayama and De Guzman went home with P40,000 in cash and P10,000 worth of Pony products.

"This the second time that we have held this contest and were overwhelmed with the number of entries we received from all over the Philippines and from so many schools. It just goes to show how talented and creative Filipinos are," said Donna Santos, marketing manager of Pony.

The other winners were: Sandra Santiago (2nd place) and Anthony Tanigue (3rd place) for the Digital Film category and Thomas Henry Bautista (2nd place) and Jessica Mariz Ignacio (3rd place) for the Digital Poster Art category.

Santiago and Bautista went home with P20,000 in cash and P5,000 worth of Pony products, while Tanigue and Ignacio went home with P10,000 in cash and P5,000 worth of Pony products.

 

This year's contest received more than 200 entries in the poster-making category. The list was trimmed down to 40 and their work was on display at 7th High in Bonifacio Global City, where the contest had its awarding ceremony.

The event was hosted by comedian and film professor Ramon Bautista and DJ Liza with guest performances from teen punk band Absolute Play and Kitchie Nadal.
