MANILA, Philippines – “Fork in the Road,” a food and travel show on the Lifestyle Network boasts another season this February with host chef Myrna Segismundo of Restaurant 9501 and friends traveling to Madrid and its nearby regions for a one-of-a-kind 10-day gastronomic experience where they visited restaurant kitchens to see the chefs in action.
Its latest season, titled “Fork in the Road 2: South of Spain,” highlights the best experiences of chef Myrna and her companions in Madrid, Spain’s Andalusia region, and the Extremadura and Castile-Leon regions. Her fellow chefs and foodie friends who were accorded the hospitality that a tourist won’t get on a usual tour had an amazing foodie tour experience as they explored the South of Spain’s best food offerings.
Hopping from one place to another, chef Myrna’s group had the trip of a lifetime as they indulged in dishes like angulas (baby eels), bacalao, jamon Iberico de bellota (from acorn-fed Iberian pigs), cabello de angel (pumpkin jam), and a whole lot more. They were also treated to tours of South of Spain’s most scenic places and capped off their journey through a relaxing farewell dinner with a modern presentation of Spanish food at Michelin-starred Alabaster.
Catch chef Myrna’s food adventures with her friends in “Fork in the Road 2: South of Spain” airing this Feb. 3 and 17, 8 p.m. (Part 1) and on Feb. 10 and 24 (Part 2), 8 p.m. on the Lifestyle Network.
