Futbol Funatics off to Spain

Football is alive and kicking in the country! Preparations are now underway for Futbol Funatics’ 4th Football Immersion and Cultural Exchange Program (FICEP) taking place in Spain in May 2015.

In 2012, Futbol Funatics’ founders Avery Del Rosario and Candice Grey-Del Rosario launched their football school’s annual international immersion football program, with a goal to further broaden the minds of their players both on and off the pitch.  Through the FICEP program,  Futbol Funatics players travel to Spain to engage in football training under Spanish coaches from the Centro de Estudios, Desarrollo E Investigacion del Futbol Andaluz (CEDIFA).  The players also participate in matches against Spanish youth clubs and immerse themselves in Spanish culture through various tours and activities arranged by Futbol Funatics.

The 2014 FICEP delegation made stops in Barcelona, Madrid, Antequera, Malaga, Sevilla, and other cities and towns in the beautiful southern region of Spain. The delegation, which was sponsored by Mizuno, Auntie Anne’s Pretzels Philippines, AIR21, and B&BM, were also fortunate to witness firsthand a memorable La Liga match between FC Barcelona and Atletico de Madrid.

Now in its 11th year, Futbol Funatics continues to offer year-round football camps for kids ranging from three to 17 years old in Alabang, Parañaque, Cavite, Makati, Taguig, and Pasig. Futbol Funatics members, ranging from ages 10 to 17, are eligible to participate in the FICEP program in Spain.  For more information on Futbol Funatics and its annual Football Immersion and Cultural Exchange Program, log on to www.futbolfunatics.com or call 09173290011.
