MANILA, Philippines - A Harvard-educated medical research scientist has warned of further uptrend in cardio-vascular-related diseases as a result of mankind’s growing genetic and environmental predisposition to such ailments.
Dr. Edward Andujar made this assessment in the wake of the long globalizing lifestyle involving fatty foods as part of a now universal culinary culture.
Dr. Andujar warned that with such a lifestyle, a person’s blood vessels could become 50 percent clogged at age 21, and completely blocked at age 50.
He pointed to the prevalence of cardio-vascular-related ailments, which he said were the leading causes of death in the United States, the Philippines, and other countries.
According to the Philippine Health Statistics, some 100,908 of the country’s 2009 population of over 92 million died of heart diseases for a mortality rate of 109.4 deaths per 100,000 people.
The 2009 mortality rate of 109.4 is even bigger than the five-year 2004-2008 average rate of 94.5.
On the other hand, the diseases of the vascular system registered a mortality rate of 71 per 100,000 or a total of 65,489 deaths from among the same population in 2009. Again, this 2009 mortality rate of 71 percent is higher than the five-year 2004-2008 average of 64.3.
Both cardio and vascular diseases are attributed to lifestyle factors such as smoking, fatty and salty foods, and inactivity resulting in the clogging of the arteries. Other causes are traced to coexisting diseases like obesity and diabetes that may similarly stem from the prevailing lifestyle patterns.
“If the trend continues, all of us will have to eventually undergo heart bypass, which costs $60,000 in the US,” Dr. Andujar said in stressing the mission of Omega Triple Plus.
This global health situation, according to Dr. Andujar, necessitated the product research, development, and clinical studies that created the Laminine Omega Triple Plus.
“The product (Laminine Omega Triple Plus) contains Omega 3, 6 and 9 fatty acids that increase the good cholesterol in the blood, the powerful antioxidant co-enzyme Q10 that lowers blood pressure, and the Vitamin K2 that prevents calcium deposits in the blood vessels and puts them instead in the bones and teeth where they should be,” Dr. Andujar explained.
Summing it up, Andujar said: “There are nine benefits of Omega Triple Plus that can be easily remembered through the first nine letters of the alphabet — antioxidant, bad cholesterol lowered, circulation improved, decreased joint pains, enhanced good rate of blood pressure, fat in the blood (triglycerides) reduced (triglycerides ultimately turn into fat), good cholesterol level that clears up the blood vessels, heart no longer overworked, and increased calcium in bones and teeth.”
Dr. Andujar is the product research specialist of LifePharm Global Network (LPGN), which markets Laminine and Laminine Omega Triple Plus across the world.
Both products are marketed nationwide by Forever Rich Philippines Inc. (FRPI), LPGN’s exclusive distributor in the country.
