Pascual Laboratories partners with WWF

MANILA, Philippines - After a successful initial partnership in 2012 with the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF-Philippines) in educating the future generation about the effects of climate change on health, Pascual Laboratories, Inc. (PascualLab) has renewed its commitment with the environmentally focused NGO.

As a corporation that cures and cares, PascualLab takes pride in social responsibility as one of its core values and sincerely carries this out through The PascualLab SEED Initiative, the company’s CSR program. PascualLab chairman, president and CEO Manny Salazar emphasizes, “Our advocacy is to improve the health of all Filipinos. As we celebrate our 67th anniversary, we wish to enhance the ways by which we can give back to society. We’re very happy to continue our partnership with WWF because of the scope and quality of their expertise.”

WWF-Philippines vice chair and CEO Jose Ma. Lorenzo Tan equally shares his enthusiasm for the partnership. With regard to engaging people and corporations to become involved in saving Mother Earth and its inhabitants, he enthused, “You can always start with an opportunity. And I think this is the opportunity. I’m very excited.”

PascualLab’s contribution towards preserving the planet is manifested through Kalakasan, Kalikasan, an Environmental Life Skills (ELS) program that supplements the public school curriculum. The program is a venue to educate pupils about the causes of climate change, its effects on health, and what can be done to mitigate it.  A total of 1,800 students in four Quezon City public schools will greatly benefit from the partnership.
