MANILA, Philippines - It’s time to limber up and renew your commitment to getting fit and healthy. Take part in the biggest race in the South as Asian Hospital and Medical Center stages RUNew, a fundraising fun run to be held on Sunday, Feb. 26 at Filinvest Corporate City in Alabang.
RUNew is in its third year of inspiring people to be active and get into a healthy lifestyle through running. Asian Hospital expects to attract health professionals, running enthusiasts, health and fitness buffs, families and friends to participate in the event that aims to get them started on the path to health and wellness.
“What better way to kick start a healthy lifestyle than by being active and getting into shape through running? It’s an easy yet fun way to get fit and be healthy that people of all ages can get into. We hope that RUNew 2012 will once again break records as we plan to attract more participants this year to run for health and for a good cause,” says Dr. Josephine Tuason, president of Asian Hospital Charities, Inc.
Proceeds of the run will be donated to the Asian Hospital Charities, Inc., to raise more funds for the medical and surgical care of indigent patients.
RUNew will stage four running events: 21k, 10k, 5k, and 3k. Registration fees are at P750, P650, P550, and P500, respectively. Registration is ongoing until Feb. 19 at Riovana Bonifacio Global City and Katipunan and at Athlete’s Foot in Alabang Town Center.
