MANILA, Philippines - The Philippines is set to host the Asia-Oceania Congress on Obesity on August 31 to September 2 at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza, Manila with the theme “The Growing Problem of Obesity and Metabolic Syndrome: Asia-Oceania Perspective.” International, regional, and local experts will discuss in various plenary sessions, symposia, and research presentations topics on nutritional, lifestyle, behavioral, medical, and surgical interventions to prevent and treat obesity and its complications.
Healthcare professionals from the different countries in the Asean and Asia-Oceania region interested in the field of obesity are invited to attend this event organized by the Philippine Association for the Study of Overweight and Obesity in cooperation with the Philippine Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism and the International Association for the Study of Obesity.
