MANILA, Philippines - Cebuana Lhuillier, a preferred pawnshop and remittance service provider under P.J. Lhuillier Inc. (PJLI), has launched this year’s “Tuition Mo, Sagot Ko” back-to-school promo, which will give away as much as P3.6 million to customers.
“This is the promo’s second year and we are happy with last year’s results. For us, to go beyond our services to help our clients makes this worth the while,” said Marissa Ancog, corporate planning and communications group head of PJLI. In 2010, Cebuana Lhuillier gave away cash prizes up to P4.8 million to winners nationwide.
Cebuana Lhuillier clients will be eligible to join the raffle promo after pawning a minimum amount of P3,000 or sending a minimum of P1,500 domestically or receiving at least P5,000 international money remittance through Cebuana Pera Padala.
Eligible clients are automatically added to the electronic raffle and requested to keep a photocopy of their pawn tickets or Pera Padala transaction forms, which the winners will use to claim the cash prize.
Three monthly draws and one grand draw will be held. There will be 72 winners of P20,000 each from the monthly draws and eight winners of P50,000 each during the grand draw.
The prizes will automatically be doubled if the winner is a Cebuana 24K cardholder.
The first raffle draw was held last April 15. Twenty-four winners each received at least P20,000 in cash. The winners are: Romeo D. Alfaro, Southern Leyte; Jubaira Husin Alibasa, Basilan; Meraluna Y. Winners will be notified through registered mail and must follow the claim instructions. The succeeding raffle draws will be on June 15 and July 1.
When claiming prizes, winners must present two valid photo-bearing IDs and the notification letter. Prizes can be claimed at any Cebuana Lhuillier branch through Pera Padala payout. Winners have 60 days upon receipt of the notice to claim their prize.
