MANILA, Philippines - Ciba Vision, the global eye health care leader, together with Ideal Vision Center, encourages people to have their eyes examined this month as the country celebrates World Sight Day.
“CIBA Vision supports the World Sight Day’s mission to raise awareness about the importance of healthy vision,” says Dr. Jeanette Romualdez, Southeast Asia professional service consultant at Ciba Vision. Celebrated annually every second Thursday of October, World Sight Day is one of the highlights of Vision 2020: The Right to Sight — Ciba Vision’s global efforts to raise public awareness about blindness and other vision impairments, as well as eye care education.
Vision 2020: The Right to Sight campaign features images that showcase popular global landmarks from the Eiffel Tower and The Statue of Liberty to Mount Fuji and Victoria Harbor as they may be viewed through the eyes of an individual with uncorrected refractive errors, such as astigmatism, myopia, hyperopia, and presbyopia. Consumers can view the effects of these conditions, as well as the impact of a progressively worsening visual impairment on www.cibavision.com or http://www.facebook.com/O2OptixPh.
Ideal Vision Center is providing free eye examination to all its 70 branches nationwide until November 30.
