Tetra Pak Philippines holds 9th World Milk Day

MANILA, Philippines – Tetra Pak Philippines commemorates the 9th World Milk Day on Sunday, May 31 at Bonifacio High Street, Global City with an event filled with games, prizes, and interactive activities. The event promises to be fun and meaningful for the whole family.

Officially endorsed by FAO (Food and Agricultural Organization of the UN), the World Milk Day is celebrated annually in many countries worldwide, providing an opportunity to focus attention on milk as a global food central to health and well-being across cultures and nations, and to highlight the contributions connected with milk and the overall dairy industry.

During the event, Tetra Pak, the world’s leading processing and packaging solutions company, will showcase a variety of its innovative features such as its six-layer packaging material and the UHT process. With Tetra Pak’s six-layer packaging material, products like liquid milk are protected from light, oxygen, and bacteria. Also, since liquid beverages that are packed in Tetra Pak cartons use the UHT (Ultra-High-Temperature) treatment process, the product is safe as this treatment destroys harmful micro-organisms without compromising the taste, nutritional value, and color of the product. In addition, Tetra Pak will also feature recycled items made from used Tetra Pak cartons, highlighting the product’s unique green solutions for sustainability and care for the environment.

Essential to the celebration is a fund-raising activity for the Feed-A-Child program, an initiative spearheaded by Tetra Pak geared towards helping underprivileged children. With hopes for the holistic development of underprivileged children, the funds that will be raised through Tetra Pak’s Feed-A-Child program during the event will be donated to the K.I.D.S. (Kabataang Inyong Dapat Suportahan) Foundation, a youth organization developed by actor Diether Ocampo. Ready-to-drink milk products from a roster of Tetra Pak milk brand partners will be sold at the event, with proceeds to be donated to the organization.
