With the theme “Angat sa Height, Ang Future Mas Bright,” Star Margarine recently held another successful edition of its Star ‘Nutriskwela’ school tour in various elementary schools nationwide.
As many as 70 public and 30 private schools hosted the tour, which highlighted the importance of nutrition in the total growth and development of tall, healthy, and outstanding kids.
Star Margarine realizes and stresses the importance of children being properly nourished and cared for, says Star Margarine brand assistant Vannie Escano.
The Star ‘Nutriskwela’ school tour showcased exciting activities like the Star nutrition play, Star nutrition cheer and the Star label redemption. The Star basketball clinic, led by coach Ronnie Magsanoc, was also held in selected schools.
The Star nutrition play gave kids and parents an idea of how proper nutrition can benefit a child. Visitors to the tour also got to enjoy Star Margarine collectible items via the Star label redemption while the Star nutrition cheer added excitement to the affair. Participants prepared a three- to five-minute cheer about Star Margarine and winners received exciting prizes. The winners also got the chance to perform during the regional finals of the search for Batang Star.
The search for Batang Star aimed to discover the healthy child who best epitomized the Batang Star; someone ahead in physical, social, and emotional development and who possessed the qualities that typified the quintessential nutrition ambassador.
The contestants underwent a selection process led by basketball star player and Star Margarine endorser James Yap and Magnolia representatives.
The Batang Star received a plaque, trophy, and P50,000 in cash and the chance for media exposure. The school of the chosen pupil also received assorted showcases.
