MANILA, Philippines - The lightest, thinnest and quietest Apple laptop yet, with "all-day" battery life finally arrived.

As apple Chief Executive Officer Tim Cook also unveiled a new MacBook and announced other deals at a company event Monday in San Francisco, fans all over the world, including here in the Philippines were all too excited for the release of its newest product.

MacBook has been among the trending topics on microblogging site Twitter since this morning. Netizens shared their delight about the new product that comes in gold:

The MacBook, as Associated Press reports, comes in  silver, space gray and gold. The device can be charged with a new kind of connector cable and port, "USB-C," that combines power with functions now requiring HDMI, VGA or USB connections. Adapters will be available until more accessories have USB-C built-in. And the screen has the 12-inch higher-resolution Retina display.

The product will start shipping on April 10,  at $1,299 with 256 gigabytes of storage. A faster processor and double the storage can be had for $1,599.
